React web framework · Platform guide

Convert your Next.js web app into native iOS & Android apps.

Next.js is a React framework with server-side rendering, static generation and API routes; applications are typically deployed to Vercel or any Node.js host under a custom domain. We wrap your published Next.js web app into real App Store and Google Play apps – no coding, delivered within 72 hours, full source code included.

Why an app for your Next.js web app?

From browser tab to home screen.

Next.js teams ship fast, SEO-friendly web apps, and the natural next request is an App Store and Google Play presence without a React Native rewrite. A WebView app wraps your deployed Next.js URL, so server components, API routes and middleware keep working unchanged. The app adds a JavaScript bridge for push notifications, AdMob, in-app purchases, sharing and QR scanning, giving you native touches on one codebase.

Your app behaves like a full-screen browser for your Next.js web app: every change you publish on Next.js is live in the app immediately – no app update required. Native features such as push notifications, an offline screen, native dialogs and smart link handling are added on top.

See all features

Home screen presence

A real app icon on iPhone and Android devices, installed from the App Store and Google Play.

Push notifications

Re-engage users with OneSignal push messages – or trigger local notifications from your own JavaScript.

Offline screen

Instead of browser errors, users see a branded offline screen with a "Try again" button.

Monetization

AdMob banners and interstitials, in-app purchases and native sharing dialogs are supported.

How it works for Next.js

Three steps to your Next.js app.

1

Publish your Next.js web app

Make sure your web app is live on a public URL (ideally your own domain) and looks good on a phone screen – that URL is what we wrap.

2

Order in a few minutes

Tell us your URL, app name and icon in the order wizard, pick the native features you need and pay securely with Stripe.

3

Receive your apps within 72 hours

We configure the WebViewGold template for your project, optimize it and deliver the full Xcode & Android Studio source code plus store-ready builds.

Preparation checklist

Prepare your Next.js web app for the app stores.

A few platform-specific tips from our App Specialists for the best result:

  • Point the app to your production domain over HTTPS, not a preview deployment URL.
  • Verify responsive layouts and the viewport meta tag; the app shows only the phone layout.
  • Keep authentication on the same domain, for example with Auth.js or your own session cookies, so sessions persist.
  • Avoid opening new windows for internal links; use normal navigation so the app stays in one view.
  • Not sure about a setting? Leave it to us – everything can be changed later in the source code, and our support is happy to advise.

Built on WebViewGold. Every Next.js app we deliver is based on WebViewGold, the WebView app template for iOS & Android developed by our own team – battle-tested in the stores and continuously updated for the latest iOS and Android versions. FAQ

Next.js to app: frequently asked questions

Does server-side rendering work in the app?

Yes. The app loads pages from your server exactly like a browser, so SSR, static generation, incremental regeneration and API routes all work. Nothing about your rendering strategy needs to change for the app, and middleware runs as usual.

Can I use native features from Next.js code?

Yes. The app exposes a JavaScript bridge for OneSignal push notifications, AdMob ads, in-app purchases, sharing and QR scanning. Call these from client components when the page runs inside the app, and fall back gracefully in the browser so one codebase serves both.

Do I need to resubmit the app after each deployment?

No. The app always loads your live Next.js deployment, so new features appear immediately. You only rebuild and resubmit when the native shell changes, for example a new icon, name or added native capability, which you can do with the delivered Xcode and Android Studio projects.

How much does it cost and how do I pay?

Converting one platform (iOS or Android) is a one-time fee of $698; the iOS + Android bundle costs $1,158 (you save $238). The optional App Publishing Service is $318 per platform. Payment is handled securely by Stripe (cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay). Prices exclude VAT.

What exactly do I receive?

The complete Xcode project (iOS) and/or Android Studio project including signed APK/AAB files and keystore (Android), plus a step-by-step quick start guide for the App Store and Google Play submission. The apps are built on the WebViewGold template, so you keep the full, editable source code.

What if Apple or Google rejects the app?

Store approval depends on the content of your app, and most WebView apps based on a responsive, app-like website pass review. If Apple or Google rejects your app for non-content reasons, we offer a full refund of the setup fee when you claim it within 14 days after purchase – see our Terms and Conditions.
